Our showroom has been pretty quiet these past few days and now we are sad to say it is being silenced.  Based on the government recommendations to close all non-essential businesses we are closing down our physical showroom.  While we are still available to customers online it is just not the same.

Welcome to our new reality. 

For those of us in the sales profession talking and spending time with people is the foundation of everything we do.  Socializing with and getting to know people isn’t just part of our job it is an essential element of our personality.  Someone who is great at sales is by nature a people-person.  Which makes this strange and unreal time in our lives that much more difficult.

We already miss seeing people come through our doors.  Chatting with them over a coffee while they wait for their oil change.  Helping them figure out how to pair their phone or adjust their radio settings.  Watching their eyes light up as they sit in their brand-new car for the first time.  Sharing with someone just a little bit of the extensive knowledge we have built up over years of training and experience.

We also miss our work-family.  The people we talk to and joke with every day.  The colleagues that became friends (who sometimes drive us crazy) but have become an integral part of our lives.   

A quiet showroom is a sad place indeed.  And let’s acknowledge that it’s okay to feel sad, angry and frustrated, because let’s be honest, things are hard for everyone right now.

But let’s also try and look ahead with hope, because we will be back.  One day in the not-too distant future we will welcome all our colleagues back, we will open the doors and invite our community inside.   We will hug each other, shake our customers hands, meet friends for lunch and go for coffee together.  We will have staff parties, support community events and sponsor our kids’ sports teams. 

Our showroom will be filled with noise and people and we will appreciate the hustle and bustle of everyday life more than we could ever imagine. 

We miss our Schlueter Hyundai family right now and we truly appreciate all the positive support we have received from our staff, suppliers and of course from our amazing customers.   Thank you for sticking with us through this and we can’t wait to see you again soon.
