How To Set Up HomeLink

HomeLink allows you to get rid of your garage opener and use integrated buttons instead.

Setting Up HomeLink

HomeLink® is the world’s most widely used vehicle-based wireless control system. It conveniently and safely enables you to open and close your garage door, all from three buttons, smartly integrated into your automobile’s interior (usually located on the rearview mirror or driver's visor).

With Homelink you no longer need to worry about carrying garage remotes and if necessary you can program up to 3 separate garage doors.

If you purchased a used Hyundai equipped with HomeLink you might need to clear the programming before you can set it up to work with your garage.  Setup isn’t complicated and takes only a few steps. You will need your garage remote and if your opener uses rolling codes you might need to locate the “learn” or “program” button on your garage door opener unit.  If this is the case you might want a second set of hands because when you use the learn button you need to then push the HomeLink button within 30 seconds.  Just depends on how quick you can be.

The above video gives you a quick helpful overview of the process.

If you would like to watch a more detailed video specific to your vehicle and garage opener model visit the HomeLink website.

Simply put in your vehicle year & model and garage door opener details and you can watch a video or print written programming instructions.

We hope this helps you make full use of all the amazing features you can find on your Hyundai vehicle.  If you have any further questions please don’t hesitate to give us a call at 519-886-2625 or email us at
